Seven "new" flat rides appear at Worlds of Adventure

Six Flags Worlds of Adventure recently announced the addition of seven new-for-2002 flat rides and two older flat rides. The rides are used from Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and Six Flags Elitch Gardens.

Its a positive move for WofA. The rides that were pulled from the other parks will be absorbed. Its a minor return to the ride rotation program. If it helps the Wildlife side, that is a winner. Some nice family flats that are a bit tame will keep people over longer, which will drive f/b and retail sales. There is naturally a bigger picture at stake.

If you compared Sea World to Geauga Lake, GL won the games race, but SW had it over them at f/b and retail. Any improvement on the revenue end will help the bottom line at the park overall.

Very well said there Agent Johnson....

I wonder if they are going to "group" any of the smaller rides or spread out more stuff.... It would be easier to group 2 or three rides together for operator rotation.

Since the Yo Yo and Spider are getting moved, I wonder if anything else will fill there spots on the Rides side.

And will they ever re-paint that dang Yo Yo?

What are the all removing for this season, i.e. okay the pet show and I heard the children water shooting boat, but anything else?

Two of the rides are from other parks, the rest are new according to the article.

Well Zar I'm not exactly sure but I know for SURE that the water shooting boat is coming out... well at least the water guns have already been ripped out.

Hi-

The dealine for the whales was yesterday (the 11th). Since this is a kinda new proceedure as far as attining permits go- I am not sure how much the comments effect the final decision. The park should know in a few weks though (hopefully). I can not judge weather the decision to extend the deadline was a good sign- or bad.

It is too bad that the pirate ship is gone-rides are fun, but that ship ws a great alternitive to a ride- and allowed children to play with their imagination.

There will be a reptile house near whale stadium (by what used to be platters resturant- which will be transformed into a buffet w/ I belive Asain food this year).

Lost World is not likely to see the light of day- it's proposed location will likely be used for Zebras this year.

Okay, reptile house sounds cool. Zebras? I've never heard of this before!
