Seven injured in Gravitron accident at Miami-Dade County Fair

A piece of paneling came off "The Gravitron" while it was running late Friday at the Miami-Dade County Fair. The ride spins at high speed to generate centrifugal force that pins seated passengers against its interior wall. Seven people were injured, one teenage girl was in critical condition.

That's horrible, because I know that the Gravitron spins extremely fast and the people must have been ejected pretty far. Hopefully the girl is ok.

I remember hearing about something like that happening a few years ago where a panel came off injuring riders...Since then I've been apprehensive about that ride, so I'm suprised to see it happen again.
