If you forget about the usual geographic locations of the various states, and their usual associations with where they are located - for example, California is considered a pacific state, Colorado is a Rocky Mountain state, Vermont is a New England state, and Michigan is a Great Lakes state, etc.....and then draw an imaginary rectangle through the US, centered half way between the oceans, and from Canada to Mexico, and simply focus on which part of the US those states are in, it is easier to identify which section of the country they are in. For example, to me, California is in the Southwestern US, Colorado is in the mid section, Vermont is in the northeast, and Michigan is even in the northeast.
With that in mind, if you live in Utah and are looking at a map of the whole country, it is easier to see how certain states that we don't consider to be in the northeast, are in fact part of the northeastern section of the country. To me, that would include Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and even Kentucky if you really look at it.
I am going to go out on a limb and speculate just like everyone else about where this new ride could be going. Since Carowinds is part of the Paramount family of parks, and that company tends to improve upon certain rides done at other Paramount parks, my humble guess is that the new coaster will be going to King's Island. I mean, think about it....supposedly (as rumored), PKI is not opening KCKC this season, and since it is located in the Rivertown section of the park, it just stands to reason that whatever might replace it would be another water themed ride.
