Sept. 2 @ SFWoA

Associated parks:
None

Well.........How to start, after a 3 hr drive, a few turn arounds due to no signs pointing to SF, we made it. Gee and i thought Cedar Point parking was bad but $9 to let your car sit all day. Walked in the entrance with our FREE tickets from AOL we found out that we weren't on the rollerocoaster side of the park. Bummer but hey we got to see some animals so that was ok. Announcer at the sealions was talking about fish we could feed to the sea lions so I bought some, announcer also said that we could use the hand sanitiser that make out hands smell better. OK sounds good, too bad all the sanitizers thingys were broken. Walked ALL the way to the rollercoaster side to find that Batman was the only decent ride I got on for the 4 hrs I stayed. The ops on Serial Thriller were talking on the phone not even looking at the coaster just pressing the button, I'm guess whenever it sounded good because over the radio an op had brought in and being distracted on the phone theres no way the op could have heard ready and not even saw the thumbs up. Texas twister was pretty decent. SF's version of CP's scrambler looked exactly the same except it was making this horrible sound when it spun. Bought a $3 water, $3 bag of cotton candy and a $3 bag of popcorn I sat down to watch the sea lion show which was good. After that went to the sting rays and tried to feed them squid but none would come to the top so i threw in the rest and went to wash my hands which was almost impossible due to the very low pressure that was given on the sinks. This was it and I was ready to leave. My group talked about how we are spoiled from CP and this park wasn't as good as CP. Then we realized that we weren't spoiled but this park just sucks. Sorry to all the people that enjoy SFWoA but this park just doesn't treat me too well. I'm happy that I didn't pay to get in because I would have regretted it.

Bummer! I was there on Sat. Sept 1 at opening and parked on the Wild Rides side...thanks to the parking tip from X Factor here at the buzz. We had 2 trips on both X-Flight and Batman Knight Flight by 12:15 pm. It was awesome! I'm glad we went Sat. not Sun. (from the sound of your day!).
Oh yeah we rode Villian 1 time, too.*** This post was edited by jgfama on 9/3/2001. ***

Anyone know why Superman wasn't running?? That is the only reason I wanted to go, also why is X-flight only running one train. Also again I noticed that SFWoA's rides seem to be shorter....

There were 2 trains on X Flight Sat. and I have no idea why but SUE was down on Sat. too.
Well I loved SFWoA and found that the coasters and bathrooms weren't bad at all and in fact quite good.  The shows on the wildlife side were very good and the ride ops didn't suck and they actually worked hard but not as hard as the ones at SFGadv, oh well.  Anyway,  I have strong faith that this park will get better.
