And those people paid three bucks apiece for the privilege.
Suppose they got their money back?

It's not an upcharge. Hasn't been for quite a while.

The news alerts I was getting on my phone yesterday, as always, made more of a story out of this than there was, but 3 hours is definitely more than 20 minutes on a lift hill. Still nowhere near as bad as the Cedar Point Space Sprial incident back in the day where they had to climb down.

Who cares about the CP story - check out the Kmart add. Holy crap did we pay a whole lot of money for some pretty sad technology back in those days. $200 for a 13 inch TV. At least it was color.

But on the serious side, that had to have been awful being stuck in that cabin for 7+ hours.

"I have to pee, Mommy."

"It's OK Junior, we'll be off the sky tower in 5 minutes, then you can pee."

Coasterbuzzers, you have let me down.

No comments about how SeaWorld is now trapping humans in cages now, letting them out and giving them a fish when they've done a somersault.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Convenient that this happened on the same day that a whale died at another Sea World park.

Interesting. I understand that the sky tower in San Diego has been closed for a while due to mechanical problems.
