SeaWorld Entertainment settles EZ Pay class action lawsuit

A class action lawsuit is paying off for some SeaWorld Entertainment guests. Some Busch Gardens Williamsburg goers have reported receiving settlement checks in the mail stemming from a class action lawsuit involving SeaWorld and several EZ Pay customers who alleged their SeaWorld passes were automatically renewed and they were charged without their consent.

This case never made any sense to me. It sounds like people don't pay attention to what they are signing up for. I know from personal experience that both the Universal and SeaWorld passes do/did keep charging the monthly rates after the year was up unless you cancelled, and it kept the passes active past a year. And both clearly stated this is what was going to happen.
