seat belts and restraints

two questions:

1.) top thrill dragster and mf and wtwister have small belts other rides at other parks have the bigger belts why does cedar point have small belts.

2.) what is the restraint system like on a 4th dimension coaster like. (ex:x at six flags)

Are you comparing the coasters to other coasters of there kind or just belt length in general?

4th Dimension is Duct Tape and some super glue/

Thanks,
DMC

Does Wicked Twister have an actual seat belt? I thought it had the clip on the side (which I guess could be considered a belt). Has this changed since I was at CP in May?
The restraints on X (4D) are hard to explain. You put your arms thru two circular restraints the pull the restraints to your chest (like a butterfly, sort of). Then wonce the restraint is pulled tightly to your chest, you pull the restraint downwards so it fits perfectly on your shoulders, it's hard to explain but I tried...
Itbat its still the same. Crashmando, it is not the parks that decide the length of belts, the manufactur does, and because most of them are European they usually arent to generous. Heres my approximate list of types of restraints from really small to roomy:

Intamin Inverteds

S&S Thust Airs

Spin and Puke Flats with OTSRs

B&M Inverteds (Standard seats)

Intamin Hypers (before their recient upgrade, I havent been on one since then)

B&M Hypers

Premier Lap bars that have a side clip

B&M Big Boy Seats

Premier Lap bars with no clip

S&S Towers

and tied for last place (you should never have a problem) Arrow loopers, Arrow/Morgan lap bars, and Wooden coaster trains.

I have yet to be on X :( so I cant help you there.

I called intamin today. they are looking into diffrent restraint systems for ttd and mf. the problem is that they do not want to get sued. i am supposed to be meeting with one of there representives at cpoint this summer to discuss the restraint systems.
hmm...sounds...interesting...

i will post the results of whatever happens when it happens. also he said something about making sure i get to ride ttd so i can not wait
So, you just called up Intamin, said "You need to make this ride's restraints better." Then they said, "We'll meet at Cedar Point this summer, and fix it for you. But wait, there's more, we'll also get you a front of the line pass too!" Right.

And why would they be consulting with some 20-year old kid who is clearly not an engineer?
