Sea World Ohio Passes Good @??

Here's the $54.95 question!
Since the merger where are the passes going to good for Sea Worlds and Six Flags? Sea Worlds and Busch Parks, or all of em?
What will the people do who bought both the SFO and SWO if they both got you into the same parks. That could explain the $54.95 price.

I called Seaworld Ohio today to ask that very question, but there was nobody there. So I called Seaworld San Diego (since they were still open ;) ) and asked them. They said that as far as they knew, the Seaworld Ohio pass would continue to work at the Busch parks this year.

That's what I'm hoping, anyway ;)

Ok, I just got off the phone with Seaworld Ohio. I talked to a rep named Cindy. She said that after the sale goes into effect ("sometime in February"), the Seaworld Ohio pass will NOT be accepted at the other Busch parks, since they will be part of the Six Flags chain.

She offered me a refund, which I took. Now, with my luck, I'll find out that the other Busch parks WOULD have accepted it because I bought it before the sale, but not now ;)

Ah well, back down to 3 season passes instead of 4... Bummer, really -- I was thinking this was a cheap "Busch Gardens" pass.

Here's a question, will Sea World Ohio even be open this year? If it is true that the killer whales are going, why would Six Flags keep it open...the whales are the star attraction? In fact, what are the plans for Sea World? It all seems vague right now.
I think it would remain open. they will book in another water ski show, as they have in SFDL. They will add penguins to the Penguin Encounter, and add a few others. I think the logical step will be for SFO to accept the SWO pass dollar for dollar and let you make up the difference. Then you end up with a SF pass. My opinion.
Greg - I am glad you are getting a refund. I was only interested in the pass because of Busch Gardens...so if that may be out, then I think we are both better off not even bothering with the SWO pass. Hope you get to BGW anyway!!!!
My sister lives in Norfork, only an hour away from BGW, so I'm almost certain to get there at least once anyway. It's not worth the expense for the BGW pass, though, I won't be down there THAT often ;)

Do not get the refund! On Friday after a couple of hours on the phone, the word came down -- Sea World Of Ohio passes will be good through the 2001 season at all Busch parks. I too had to call a diffeent Sea World, after getting no-where with Ohio. The representive gave me the number to Orlando. After being transferred four times, I talked to a person named Susan. She understood the situationa and would call me back after making a few phone calls. An hour later, the call came through that Busch would honor the passes at all parks through out 2001. She instructed me to contact Ohio to redeem my pass. I called Ohio, and of course I was once again put on hold and transfered. Finally after telling the rep. about the woman I spoke with in Orlando and giving her the extention of Susan, I signed up for an appointment to process the pass. So to clear things up the Sea World Ohio pass will be good at all the Busch parks through 2001. Hope this helps!

Best,
Chris
