I am planning to visit Sea World while in Florida during mid-January. I remember hearing a while ago that the Shark exhibit was being made into a restaurant and some areas along the lake were being renovated. Can anyone tell me exactly what will be open or closed when I visit? Can we still see the shark exhibits and is the water-skiing show still going on? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

The new restaurants and shops are still being built. The shark restaurant is open but it doesn't interfere with the exhibit. The food is very expensive.
Other than that, everything should be open and you should have minimal waits for the 2 major rides(especially if you're not going on MLK holiday)

Todd...it's Kraken, not "Kracken"....
Edit: Gardener, the ski show is not going on right now...it's part of the rehab that SW is going through. I should know b/c I work there. Basically anything on the sides of the lake are closed (including the luau) but depending on what day you go, the luau may be going on. The shark exhibit is still there. Basically what they did is took the preshow area and turned it into the restraunt. The old preshow area was a room where you watched a short film on sharks, and then the screens all went up and you saw sharks swimming in tanks...now it's tables and a bar in there with sharks swimming everywhere. Really nice restraunt.
Oh, be on the lookout for me and I may just get you backdoor on Kraken ;-)

Sharks (appropriatly called) is around $20 a plate. The food is somewhat more elegant than the rest of the park. Give you a sign...hmm....How? I'm the only one that doesn't staple anybody...

Todd...they mostly sell sea food, but they have other things. Like I said, it's really elegant food.

Kraken is my number 3 coaster for good reason. It is smooth but not forceless, has a great drop, awesome camelback roll and the ending is just out of this world. It has one of the best endings I have ever experienced on a Beemer.
Hey CsTrFrk, can you give me a description of yourself? I will be down the last week of February to my favorite park in Orlando. (my second hobby is SCUBA so I get the best of both worlds, marine life and coasters)
