SDC to announce new park this week

Silver Dollar City officials have delayed an announcement expected today about plans for a new theme park in Branson on the site of the former Branson USA amusement park. The announcement was postponed until later this week after an accident at Silver Dollar City left 19 people with minor injuries after a walkway to a ride collapsed. One woman may have suffered leg fractures in the fall. Silver Dollar City bought the property in November, and has spent the past several months formulating what to do with the 110 acres about three miles east of their 1890s theme park.

I'm very excited as to what's going in... I went to BUSA last year, and it holds mucho sentimental value for me... I got to reride my first-ever coaster, Zyklon... but what's going in will be MUCH better...

Hopefully there'll be some *big* construction goin' on...

Maybe they should just hand over the property to the victims of the accident.

Why, they'd just sell it back for a profit, or even worse *shudder* sell it to developers who build a mall!

Crito, ergo sum.

great coment on the opryland (opry mills ) situation.

thank you staticman

We lost a great amusement park, when they tourdown opryland for a stinking mall. :(

We've traded a lot of amusement parks for stinkin' malls. :(

Malls: the highest and best use of any piece of property. ;)

There is a lot of wood in front of Branson U.S.A. I just got back home 30 minutes ago. Once I finish the roll of film. I will post them on a webpage for all to see.
