With the new expansion on the way coming in about 5 months, I was thinking we should get some teaser shots soon.
I am excited about the expansion because I am pretty bored with the sequel.

I agree with you wickedtwisted. The BIGGEST mistake in RCT2 is Six Flags. I didn't care for the recreations. However, I love the scenario editor!

Yeah my homepark is in Albany, NY but I always have 12 hours to go to The Point!

So you believe that you are studying us, then kindly explain why you are the ones trapped in your seats.
Sure the recreations aren't that good but the scenario editor as well as the coaster designer make up for it.
I would have to agree with Wickedtwisted on the lack of being able to place rides in the editor because it makes it a real challenge when you have to actually play the scenario in order to add rides to the park so you can set the scenario to begin with a partially built & operating park.
As far as the expansion is concerned I'm sure we'll be seeing some screens soon enough, after all the game is due to be released in May or June & I'm sure they want to put something out to keep us interested,I'm just hoping for more flats(don't we all),intamin mega looper, full circuit intamin inverteds & some more improvement to the AI because the mechanics for the most part are just as dumb as the handymen.

Do you honestly need a side-friction coaster in every park? How about a meatball soup stall? Do you need three types of observation towers? See, there is really no need to have every ride, but I guess some people like that.

You are about to discover what lies beyond the 5th dimension, beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination in the Tower Of Terror.

I remember that the RCT:LL screenshots first came out about 2 months before the game was out. RCT2 was a bit of a change becasue it was a new game. I'm preatty sure we won't see any screenshots anytime soon.

I can't decide is it BGW or SDC/CC.

I agree, i didn't like it at first, cause i thought "What if i didn't select something that i want later...", but as it turns out, there are rides i don't use and never did in RCT1. I only wish you had more room for Scenery, since i have all this custom Scenery now...

I like it but it could be better by letting you have all rides and not have to click every space to have a full map plus no rides in scenario editor is kinda lame.
Ok, three quick answers to these "problems":
1. Perhaps, who really uses all the rides? I don't think I've ever had the need for the elevator. Many rides are redundant - for example the suspended coaster. Each train type uses up a ride "slot". Are you really going to build three suspended coasters each with a different train type in one park? If so then skip on other redundant or useless rides. If this still doesn't work for you, plan ahead with a general design in mind and choose the rides accordingly. Even many of the food stalls are redundant - the peeps treat food as food and drink as drink, the actual variety seems to matter little, use the ones with the highest profit. I don't think I've ever felt limited by ride selection in RCT2.
2. Don't click every square. Expand the shovel tool to 7 squares (as big as it goes in the editor) and zoom out as far as possible. Drag your 7x7 square all over like a paintbrush. You can select an entire 255 x 255 map in no time at all - a minute tops.
3. I can give you a little credit on the scenario thing, but it's not too hard to totally do your map, select rides and then choose an easy goal like " build 10 coasters with excitement of ?" and load it up. Take your time building what you'd like with no worries of "losing" the scenario. Save the game, covert to scenario, and set the goal to what you originally intended it to be. Actually this way of doing it is very flexible, much more so than if you "played the game" in scenario builder mode to add rides.
I find it funny that those who are bored with the game the most are the ones who haven't taken the time to explore it fully. It's much deeper than the first and takes a little time to "get to know" in full.
...and hey, you got 97 posts since signing up here 4 days ago - that's hardcore! Put that much time into RCT and you'll know it like the back of your hand. (and develop a much greater appreciation for it)

I want the ability to go all the way back into the senario editor. I'm tired of selecting a bunch of senery then going to build a pre-built/themed ride and getting a scenery not available message because I may have missed 1 style of base block or something. If we could go back intothe editor and change our ride and secenery choices( trade a snowball for a castle wall ect.) as we need then it would be more enjoyable-----------------
You can all you have to do is go into the editor and load your scenario. All your rides should be selected all you have to do is change your scenery you want and save it again.
I always make sure to save the landscape when I'm doing a scenario as well.

You're right, wickedtwisted, I'm still in 2002 mode.
I honestly think RCT is a perfect "next step" from the original. The changes are subtle but deep. The interface makes way more sense, the added features were ones most players ask for. The only thing I might even remotely be able to say "I wish" about was more flat rides, but even then I rarely do fantasy parks and the rides included are perfect for scenario play where the focus is much different than it is in "sandbox" mode.
Let me flip it back to you. Why are you bored with it already and what could they have possibly added that would've kept you from being bored?
