Screechin' Eagle history page (Link)

Fellow Buzzers, Screechin' Eagle is returning to us after at two year SBNO status.

Bellow is a link to a page created by the webmaster of the americanaamusementpark.com Unofficial site.

Included are pics from every decade of its history including the NAD Hot rod train.

This site claims that '97 was the year the burgundy train was removed and the NAD with the PTC cars from Wildcat was put on it.

Also, I am wondering, I hear the guage of NAD's are different from PTC. There is massive trackwork going on on the coaster right now (Total retracking of the first and second hills currently) Could they be reguaging it? I may be reading something into this that has no merit but CCI has the Legend train.

Ok, Heres the link http://www.americanaamusementpark.com/eagle.html

Chuck, who hopes you visit Americana this season for support.

Americana is opening in 2002 and needs your support as many company picnics are already schedualed for someplace else, Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Wouldn't it be nice if CCI were the company doing the retracking?

I hear that this is the most surprising out & back. Only NAD train could make it better :)

CCI has nothing do do with the re-tracking. Its simple maintainence.

Eagle has been running the old Elitch Gardens Wildcat train (PTC) for the last few years, plus they also have the old Mr. twister trains they use for parts.

John, The train running on it now is the old NAD running gear with the old Elich Wildcat tubs.

The old Mr. Twister Trains are on Twister II (Maybe not the original ones).

Also It is not simple maintence because the whole first and second hills were bare bents with totally new track and CCI is doing the work.

Chuck, who hopes to see you soon

CCI really is doing the retracking?

Thats what I am told, Let me contact a member of my local coaster club and I'll get back with you.

BTW CCI did the last two rehabs on the coaster, The last one included raising the bents at the bottoms of the first and second drops 18 inches because they were sunk in the ground.

Ohh, new rumor, Screechin Eagle is sinking :)

I guess that makes sense since CCI is so close to Americana. I am thinking that Americana will become Ohio's secret gem, sort of like Holiday World :)
