Had an awesome time at LeSourdsville! I got there a little after noon (after getting a little lost!) and met up with my friend Mike. We immediately headed for SE. I have heard so many amazing things about this coaster but didn't really think much of it. Now it is one of my favorite woodies! I was very pleasantly surprised, and very happy, and somewhat relieved that this park and this coaster were saved. Throughout the day I managed to get about 25 rides in, mostly near the back for the full "stand up woodie" effect. WHEW!
The Sea Serpent was ok, liked the helixes at the end. My friend left after the picnic so I mostly hung out, ridng SE and taking photos. I got a ride on the Zipper which was most fun, and some of the other flat rides (can't resist a Tilt-A-Whirl) and threw handfuls of fishfood into the lake to these sharks, I mean carp (these fish are insane!) The Combustion fun house was also OK.
Unfortunately I skipped out on the nighttime ERT.
(I know, I know!)
The next morning on my way home I contemplated skipping PKI since the weekend August crowds get pretty insane, but at the last minute I said "what the hell" and got to the ACE walkback area around 9:30am. There were about 15 ACE people there.
I did Tomb Raider first, got that out of the way. When we exited the TR the queue was completely filled as I expected. We immediately went to the Beast, which was walk-on at that point.
(I feel sorry for the ACER's who decided to do the Beast first and THEN Tomb Raider).
Anyway, got a backseat ride on the Beast, then made the rounds. I got a minor headache on Vortex, and got an awesome ride on FOF (YEAH BABY!!) Drop Zone was probably a 45-60 minute wait, and SOB was riding as smooth as ever (even though we were in the third row from the back.......still a vast improvement.) I must say SOB runs smoother than daddy Beast.
I did my usual rounds (skipping out on Face off and Top Gun this time due to the insane lines) and left around 2pm, feeling good yet wanting to avoid the incoming masses of people. (yeah, I know....I will make an effort to hit Stricker's next year! :-)
It was an awesome weekend and it was good to catch up with some fellow ACER's and meet new ones of course!

Check out my site in a few days for updated!!!

Too bad you missed ERT on Screechin Eagle. It was a blast. Then again, I didn't get to do PKI. I went to Kentucky Kingdom instead for the first time. On a side note, Lake Lesourdsville lost its power around 8:30 that night and left several riders stranded on several rides. They got it back up in an hour. When I hit Stricker's Grove I rode both coasters then it started to thunder so I got rained out. Glad to hear you had fun. I know I did.

Did you notice any construction over by the old King Cobra lot?

Glad you came and enjoyed Lesourdsville. I love this park! It's a park you can just lay back and enjoy and still get tons of rides in!

Did you do the flume?
