The Ozark Wildcat probably tops my list of the most insanely fun-looking coaster of 2003, but Scream! is fairly close.
Thanks for the picture!

Strange thing is though, it would not suprise me if Six Flags did plan it for that date as they can then boast to the world that they are the first park in the world to have 16 coasters built/operating and take a swipe at CP at the same time.
Also this is Six Flags Magic Mountain we are talking about here, when did a coaster actually open on time at the park last, X was delayed,Superman was delayed,DeJa Vu was delayed etc. I will probably be eating my words in 1 month, but there still seems way to much to do to get it ready and have it operating in less than 1 month, I would personally predict a early may opening. However with all things like these, Time will tell of course

Its weird but I just cant see Scream being ready for an April 11th Opening, just because the track is now completed, it doesnt mean a thing as there is still the matter of testing, themeing(If any),landscaping(If any) Queue line and exit paths, The On Ride Photo Building and building the station etc.Strange thing is though, it would not suprise me if Six Flags did plan it for that date as they can then boast to the world that they are the first park in the world to have 16 coasters built/operating and take a swipe at CP at the same time.

Ummmm yes you will be eating your words sir. For one the Que stuff had been started way before the track was even complete, that's is part of the reason Colossus is down. Two, the electrical work has been started and shouldn't take no more then a week or two at the max. Three, the station shouldn't take to long since it will probably just be a cardboard box with no theme lol, Four, there will be no major theming so no time lost there. and Five, there will be minor landscasping of the queing areas which shouldn't take long at all and most of it can been done after the coaster. opens.
So the only thing that can keep Scream from opening on time is if the PLC gives them trouble since it's a prototype system. Other then that Scream should take it's first GP on the 11th of April.

You've still forgotton about the testing which always take quite a while as the ride will need to go through a certain amount of testing hrs(Like for every ride) also the electrics will need to be finished before that can happen which is why I think that they are cutting it very thin for an April 11th Opening.
I suspect you may very well be right, but you have to remember that opening days can still be delayed for any reason and at the last minute sometimes too, Just look at Superman Ultimate Flight at SFOG, It was due to open when the park opened for the 2002 season, but was delayed for a further 2 weeks very close to opening day. The Same goes for X-Flight at SFWOA which was delayed slighty too.
I say we wait and see what happens but one question I do have is how do we know for sure its opening April 11th anyway, I havent seen anything offical on the net yet?????? I dont like to argue your case, but it would be nice to see proof if there is any
Your Right Paul and I agree with everything you said.......but what has me so set on everything going as planned is that this is a B&M coaster. B&M coasters are usually flawless and testing shouldn't be a probably with a B&M proven concept. You have got me ........I don't have any proof that the ride is opening on the 11th beside what I've been told from different different employees at the park. So I guess we will just have to wait and see and hope for the best.
