Screamin' Swing at Dorney

Maybe I am a bit dense, but while planning my trip o Dorney Park for the 21st I checked their site, just to see what the admission was this year, and noticed something that I never saw before. I know that Sky Scraper was removed, but when did Dorney get a Screamin' Swing? Has anyone seen this there, and been on it? Is it worth the upcharge? Thanks!

Real men ride wood... coasters that is!
Not worth the upcharge... Lamer than maXair.

From what I have *gathered*, the short cycle is due to the capacity of the air tanks....therefore, for the parks to give a longer cycle would require that the parks change the air tanks (for existing rides), or that S&S *upsize* them for future installations...

Have the parks heard our pleas for a longer cycle? Do they think "oh, that's enthusiasts talking?" Time will tell...

bill, has been asking nicely for an extra 3 swings in each direction....for the upcharge versions, it'll make the ride *more worth the money*, and for the full-size park models, it'll increase popularity without *unduly* reducing capacity...

P.S. This is where I sing the praises of the S&S restraints...a little disconcerting when I first encountered them on SWAT, but I've grown accustomed to, and appreciative of, the feeling of freedom comined with the *security* that the GP likes (see: DVs' seat-belts)...

I rode it once during the second week of the park being open. For $5 I'd ride it at least once. I really enjoyed it, although like everyone says, it is a bit short.
I kept passing it at the Cbuzz-event and I just couldn't get myself to part with the $5 to ride it. It does look cool in the picture I took of it. Two notes for anyone visiting who has visited in the past:
1) Screaming Swing is not where the Skyscraper used to be. It's located next to the Coasters Diner by the entrance 2) Joker has also been removed for Hydra
Joker's removal had nothing to do with Hydra. It was still in operation until the closing day of last season. Hydra's closest track was installed long before that. It was more of a maintenance issue than anything else.

Back to Screamin' Swing - it's one of those try it once type of things. I rode it for free on media day, but still spent the five bucks times 2 to get the wife on it. I agree a longer cycle would make it more worthwhile.
