Scream station and brake area rises from the asphalt

Posted | Contributed by xbombman

Vertical construction of Scream continues with the addition of new track sections and supports. Part of the brake run, station, transfer track and lift have been put into place. Markings for the ride's queue have begun to appear near Colossus' entrance.

Jeez that thing is going up fast...the trains are already there! Speaking of the trains, they look pretty vividly colored, can't wait to see them upwrapped.

Oh this is looking like an awesome coaster already... i mite have to head over there when i get the time. have fun MM'ers
Yes i must say, originally, when i saw the track , I didn't think this was going to be a good color for the coasters, but taht blue and yellow combination of track and purple supports is very eye pleasing. I wish i could ride it someday, seeing as how i will live on the east coast and can't afford a trip to sfmm i will have to settle for medusa at sfgadv.

cheers to all you lucky sfmm goers,

Wood Fan

That's B&M for ya. I'd expect most of the *major* vertical contruction to be completed by the end of the month.

No half-assed Vekomas this year, I hope Six Flags continues their relationships with B&M and S&S on into 2004.

Things at the Scream construction site really seem to be moving along. I am just wondering if SF is going to tear up the parking lot. I hope they do, I know it really won't matter if they tear it up or not while you are on the ride, but it will look terrible when you're off the ride and waiting the the queue.
I'm hoping for a covered queue(Medusa West), then you won't have to look at anything. It gets quite hot in Velencia which I'm sure I don't have to remind anyone. Deja Vu's queue is unbearable.
It would be nice if it was open by March 23. :)
Deja Vu's isn't as bad anymore as of mid summer 2002 when they put shade over the main que. The station will probably be like Batman The Dark Knights, but I hope the que, is indoors, or at least shaded, or if outside at least big trees around it. Since the entrance is by Colosous, they should make the main que inside that theature (since the name is scream, which is a movie), but I'll keep dreaming ;-)

Isn't that area of the park called "Collussos County Fair?" Usually when you go to a fair, some of the attractions are set up on pavement or in the street. Maybe theming purposes is the whole idea of keeping the pavement.
