Scream Que question

Any one know why the que inside the Scream entrance is SO short? I mean you walk in, walk up maybe 300-400 ft, than walk up the stairs.
Probably b/c most people go to church on Sundays...and most kids have school. Just my guess though!

Mil Force Freak, if you don't have anything useful to say, its ok not to post. Your post has nothing whatsoever to do with what he asked.

Scream's queue is incredibly short. Riding during PR day (with no sign at the ride entrance) I actually had no idea I was walking through the queue. No switchbacks, just a straight line from the entrance up into the station.

Obviously if the line gets too long they will just have to put up chains to make a temporary queue around the Scream plaza, but still, that seems like a lot of work as opposed to just building extra queue space in the first place.

Maybe the lack of switchbacks will cut down on linejumping. ;)

I went down there on Saturday, and you're right, it's SHORT! It looks like they've got two switchbacks right at the end by the lockers, but I don't see how they could use them *and* let exiting riders get to the lockers. It would just make it so the switchbacks end, then walk directly past the lockers, making it really easy to jump in again from the exit. As is, they had a long (as in about twice as long as the queue line) stretch roped off against the fence heading out past Colossus towards the Magic Moments Theatre, and the longest line I saw all day filled up about 1/3 of that. Even with that line, I still got on the ride within 20 minutes. They were churning out trains so quickly that the bottleneck was the time it took to send people to their assigned rows. Rows 6, 7, and 8 were usually empty and waiting for riders before anyone got sent down to 'em.

Maybe they're hoping that the ride has such good capacity that they don't need an exceptionally long queue?

Ya I went Saturday too, and at 9:30-10 o clock at night I got 4 rides (When I went down the exit, just went right back up the stairs), 1 ride even being in the 1st row. It's funny, it acutally had one of the shortest waits there, and that wasnt the only ride running three trains (Goliath, and Riddlers were, and there lines were way longer than Screams). I dont think thats a switchback next to the lockers, btw, I think its a line to get change at the change machine there.
Is it just me, or are a lot of SFMM's queues a little too short? When I was there, Batman, Riddler, X, and Viper's lines were all spilling out onto the midway.
Yeah, the queue is definately way too short for the type of ride it is. It'll be funny to see the lines this thing generates on a Saturday at opening in the summer time. They have MAYBE 30 misn of queue at the most. The thing is, they didnt even drill holes for poles to extend the queue out into the plaza, did they think the line will be exceed 15-20 mins? Even Golaith gets a good hour long line occasionally. RRv's queue only overflows on very crowded days for the most part, and its due to RRv being one of the slowest crews in the entire industry! ;) I havent seen Vipers or B:TRs out on the midway for awhile, and Batmans would only be out into Gotham if the switchbacks arent open, because it holds about 150 mins of queue line when the huge switchback out in front of the ride is used.

Ya when they extended them, they put that cheap yellow rope, tied to freakin trash cans, and only on one side, too. I guess they only expected the line to be only 15-20 mins, althought the line wasnt all that bad yesturday.
Des ayone have a picture of how the line looks?

You think The Riddler's Revenge and Batman The Ride queue is short? RRv's queue is practically a mile long in length!

The exit for Scream is longer them the queue.

I'd say the exit for the ride is double as long as the que (and I'm dead serious there, the exit even has more stairs, than the entrance, and it like goes around some of the ride.)

Since my link doesnt work go to http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/, than click on scream media day, than scrool down, till you get to the media day pictures, and on page 4, the last picture, is ALL of the que, except a little left, and you go up the stairs, the sad thing is, thats the view you see from the entrance.

Well, during my brief visit to SFMM, I couldn't help but notice people lined up outside the entrance to Riddler. Same for Batman.

I'm assuming they were not using all the queue since I used FastLane for Riddler.

Sfmmrider, just eliminate the commas and all of the links you gave should work just fine.
