I think SM may be better than No limits when the final version comes out.

we'll see who comes out on top when they're both fully released.  NL has the early lead and may continue to hold it if they can get wooden coasters out before SM, but we can't really see into the future.  as for the present, NL is the superior game (and I haven't even bought the full version yet).  SM is trying though, you have to give them that.

At the moment SM only has Floorless.  4th D and wooden coasters are on the list of stuff to work on for NL, along with many other styles.

I personally, would not just like more coasters, but most things you have to do as an op.  For instance, a lapbar wont go down or something.  And you must fix it, and so on.

I wouldn't like to have that Nessy. Even though it might be realistic, I would like to see NL stay as a simulator, what do you all think?

NL focuses on realistic physics and coaster simulation.  Things like lap bars not working right wouldn't add anything really, and would detract from it's focus.  I personally would be frustrated if I'm checking some supports on a coaster I'm working on and the train wouldn't dispatch because of a simulated problem.  If you'd like to play a game about managing a theme park with all the breakdowns, then RCT is the way to go.  If you really want to make your own coaster from scratch, NL is for you.

Scream Machines has a long way to go before it will be on the same level as NoLimits. -Ride_Op

Hmm...I don't know that I would say a LONG way. It needs other types of rides and the physics is off a bit, but I don't think it's all that far behind. In some ways it's even better such as land & water editing, better blocking system and I like the cool little block lights at the top of the screen. More importantly (to my situation) is that Scream Machines actually works great on my machine while No Limits crashes...a lot.

Actually, I think people should take a look at Ultimate Ride and give it a chance. I blew it off because it looked too cartoony and not realistic. I was wrong. After trying the demo I was pretty blown away. Especially seeing what is planned in an update that is coming soon. Further, much like RCT, people are hacking the game and making their own decor for the trains and scenary, and even custom on ride music! The things I didn't like about UR was the sound and the physics being off on this too, but they are working on addressing both of those things in the update as well. And the editor just can't be beat. It's SO damn easy to make a coaster...even a complicated one. MUCH faster than either SM or NL. It will probably never have things like custom supports, but it's still worth a look in my opinion.

What would truely be an ultimate ride though is if the best of all three programs were combined!

I downloaded the latest demo for scream machines a few months ago and it is worse than the original, the graphics are all screwed up on my machine ans the "delete supports" bug which causes the game to crash is still there. No Limits on the other hand works rather well on my machine too bad I only have the demo though. In the future I hope to by the complete version.
One thing you have to remember, the first two demos of Scream Machines were done useing direct X/direct 3D. The final versoin of the game will be done useing openGL, just like No Limits.

I sure hope somebody really works on the sound for Scream Machines. It's just too unrealistic. It's too quiet in parts where the train is slow, as if they just mute it and turn it up as it picks up speed.

Sound is a very important factor in a game or simulator now-a-days, and Scream Machines should definately be no exception. I sure hope they improve upon their previous demos which were rather disappointing.

Presentation is also very important... and Scream Machines is rather plain looking.

No Limits needs a little help there too... as their stats bar at the top could be a little more graphically presentable (ie: pretty), instead of just basic text.

Accually No Limits stats bar is just fine. Maybe there should be an option where you can have it be graphical or text based, that would please everyone, the people who like it pretty, and the people who like it functional and out of the way.
