Scrambler Model

Those of you who like to model amusement parks, Lionel has a new working model of The Scrambler. I just had one in my hands today and it looks and works pretty well. Lionel also has a carousel, pirate ship, Ferris Wheel and swings. But I think this Scrambler model is their best yet. These models are expensive, but they have very reliable motors, they're fully lighted, and they'll work forever without problems. I have Lionel items which have been in the family for three generations and still operate flawlessly.
Lionel makes amusement models? The same Lionel that makes the trains? Do tell more!
Alright! I have the Pirate Ship and Ferris Wheel, now if I could get the swings, carousel, and the new scrambler.

It looks like my train layout is going to have a fairly nice amusement park.

My local hobby shop has some of them set up on a display layout. They're nice but they look a little toylike. There are some pictures on Lionel's site.
Yeah, they look nice. I think the Pirate ship looks the best of the bunch though, and the Swings and Scrambler are a close 2nd. I'm always intrested to see what they come out with though, every year latley they do one new ride.

I model an HO scale park, but Lionel has several pieces now and that new invert coaster set that's coming out soon is O too. So, I guess a decent park could be built witht he O scale rides available now. Disney's Monorail sets are also O scale.

What is the company that makes the other rides such as the double ferris wheel and scrambler? I have a half-built ferris wheel lying around somewhere here.

International Hobby Corp makes the double ferris wheel as well as a bunch of other rides with varying degrees of realism ;)

Did anybody ever get the IHC Chance Casino? They stopped production on that very early/or never built it. Im trying to find one, if they exist.

Also, where are the Lional rides on their website at, I can't seem to find them at all.

Dang, my link doesn't go to the right place anymore. Lionel's site is weird. The rides are hard to find because they don't fit into an obvious category.

Here's another link with a picture of the scrambler.

Faller makes the better kits. And, I'm 99.9% sure that IHC's Casino/Trabant was never produced. I've been into the hobby for 5 years and I've never seen anyone with one, or heard of anyone that has one, and everyone says it was never produced. Same as the coaster that was mentioned on the boxes too.
Pretty colorful and a little on the tall side, but nice. Lucky for them, they work larger than N scale! I would like to see a better lighting kit on this thing. Where's the "tree"?
