Hi guys
New guy here - hi :)
I'm looking for info on a wooden(?) wild mouse in Aberdeen, Scotland circa 1977 - I rode it then but I can't find any info on the net for the ride. It was similar in feel to Blackpool's Wild Mouse and the Mouse at Morecambe (now at Southport Pleasureland).
Any info would be much appreciated.
Can anyone

i dont think that could be the one as the original post said around 1977 and this one was only opened in 1999. it could have been located somewhere before but i dont know. it is the only wild mouse in scotland that RCDB comes up with. there are also no results for steel wild mouse coasters ever in scotland, so the mystery grows!
EDIT: http://rcdb.com/installationdetail878.htm could this be it? i know it operated in england but its the only other wooden wild mouse in the UK other than the one at blackpool and southport

thanks guys, but it was a 'rickety' ride, but it was a rickety ride and it was 25 years ago, i'm 100% sure as it was the silver jubilee year over here. I rode it with my cousin and the op put weights at the back of the car. I have v strong memories of the ride as it was my first wild mouse and it scared the hell out of me at the time : )
Thanks for your input - it's much appreciated : )

I am not the real Chris Sawyer...Or am I?...No.
The mine train from Frontierland linked above is the one now at Pleasureland Southport...called King Solomons Mines. I'm sure I've seen a pic of this one in Scotland being demolished but cant remember where (frustrating!)
There's another "mystery lost" wooden wild mouse was located in Littlehampton UK, I have very vague memories of riding it in the 80's! It was located on the rooftop of a park called Billy Smarts that I'd love some pics of if anyone's got anything on either of these rides...?!

Thanks for the input - I have contacted the park and local press in Aberdeen for info and am waiting for replies (hopefully) I'll post any details I receive.
colin - is this the park you mean? there's a small pic of a side friction coaster on this page -http://www.harbourpark.com/history.htm
