Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark introduces the new Blastenhoff area featuring seven new attractions, more picnic tables, more lounge chairs, more shade and more guest amenities. The massive Blastenhoff expansion increases the park’s guest areas by almost 30%. Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark opens for the summer season beginning April 21.

“Our new area is huge in size and scope,” explained Ron Sutula, general manager of Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. “Not only will our guests be entertained by seven new attractions, but there are also more places for our guests to spread out to have their family picnic or even to lounge and relax.”

The New Blastenhoff Area Includes:

  • Blastenhoff Hot Tub – Relax in an enormous hot tub with swim-up bar.
  • Cliffhangers – Freefall from a height of 81 feet and reach speeds approaching 40 mph.
  • F5: Twin Twisters – Slide inside a twisting turning storm full of surprises and thrills.
  • Secluded Beaches – Listen to crashing waves and lounge along the shoreline at two new beaches.
  • Treasure Island Kids’ Area - Ahoy…. Enjoy a ship full of slides and fun designed for the youngest of treasure hunters.
  • WhiteWater River – Ride up the Aquaveyer™ to the summit before beginning a downhill whitewater adventure.
