Schlitterbahn announces tallest and fastest water coaster for Kansas City

Schlitterbahn Kansas City officials say they’re planning to introduce Meg-a-Blaster, which, according to a company press release, will be the tallest and fastest water ride of its kind. The theme park company says Meg-a-Blaster will combine the best elements of a speedy downhill waterslide with the up-and-down action of a water-based roller coaster.

That ride stands 134.5 feet and can travel as fast as 65.2 miles per hour.

Nice reporting there, Lou. I think they've confused "Talled and Fastest waterslide" with "Tallest and Fastest Watercoaster." Someone at Fox 4 KC needs to learn about parsing sentence structure.

So will this be taller than Summit Plummit? I believe that's the tallest right now.


Cedar Point will always be The Roller Coaster Capital of the World, regardless of the number of coasters they have.

Summit Plummit at 120' *was* the tallest before Insano was built. This will take the record back from that 135' Brazilian ride.
