Scandia Screamer reopens after dismantling accident in August

The big booms of the Scandia Screamer ride are scheduled to be swinging again Friday afternoon - eight months after two workers were injured in an accident during a removal of part of the amusement park ride. A Cal-OSHA investigation revealed that the Aug. 30, 2011 Screamer accident that crushed a worker's arm was due to improper rigging, underestimating the weight of the ride that was being dismantled and other factors.

This news item was pretty confusing until I RTFA'd. I thought they were talking about the coaster Scandia Screamer at the Ontario Scandia, not a Skyscraper-type ride at the Sacramento Scandia.


No kidding I thought the one and only Scandia was was the one with the over size miller coaster.

Don't forget about the low-flying aircraft.
