Considering Shockwave is the only Togo Stand Up in the US that was built in 1986, I would pretty much consider this a comfirmation that Shockwaves is up for sale too and this could very well be it's last season.
$1,080,000.00 is actually not a bad price for such a major coaster. Considering SF claims the Vekoma hang and bangs are $10 million dollar a piece, $1 mil for a stand up(even a Togo!) is not a bad price at all. Great deal for a smaller park.
Also interesting to note on the same page, apparently Thunder Eagle is up for sale as well, and at a reasonably priced $600,000.00. Again, not a bad price for a medium sized woodie.
Man, I wish I had $600K to blow and a couple of acres!
just as long as i can get one more ride on it....hopefully we will get more notice here than PKI fans got.
Tim (possibly one of the remaining TOGO fans on the planet, and proud of it!!:)

Shockwave, can go. It's not only a stand-up Togo that punches you in the face after a brief moment of air, but it has a bad reputation because of the two incidents. I can't see any reason why it would be remotely popular where it is. Nobody was going near it while we were there.

Setting is Walmart:
Six Flags: Hey, do guys have a one of those loopers on clearance?
Shelfstocker:Let me guess? You guys got yourself into more doo doo, didn't you?
Six Flags:I guess you can say Jhonny and I kind of started a rumor about a new B&M stand up and now everybody is expecting it. Why, you got one?
Shelfstocker: Are you kidding, a B&M on clearance? A B&M stand up isn't gonna ' sell for the chump change you got. No Ser, that's gonna' cost one ya' one pretty penny.
Six Flags:Well, don't you got something cheap?
Salesclerk:I'll take this. Yeah, we got some Togos in the back.
Six Flags:Can we take a look?
Salesclerk:Here they are, King Cobra for a fair price of $1,200,000.
Six Flags: Oh, that's still a little steep. How about that other one, Shockwave?
Salesclerk: What, you mean that piece of crap? I guess I can give it to you for say, $1,008,000.
Jhonny: I think we can do better than this Pat, why don't we something better next year?
Six Flags: Shut up Jhonny! It's a deal.
Salesclerk: Do you want that delivered in a shoe box or a garbage truck?
Six Flags: No thanks, we brought are own tranport. Hey Jhonny, go bring around the dump truck and tell the board we found a (Togo) stand up for Six Flags America ;)

thats coaster humor for ya. Vertigo, you're a regular billy crystal, with the spelling of an 8 year old. JOHNNY who is JOHNNY?
"Me Fail English? That's umpossible!"
I wonder if this means that Canada's Wonderland's Sky Rider will be next to appear in the classifieds?
I saw a website where Shockwave was on sale almost a year ago so I'm not sure how recent this is.
PKD is one of my homeparks and I've got to say that I won't be shedding any tears when they tear this piece of junk down.
I also liked the Togo Stand-ups KC and Shockwave, and EVEN the sit-down Viper (gasp)...guess I'd better get to Canada fast if I want to get a ride on the other stand-up, eh? This news BITES, but I guess you could say we had some prior warning (and that Paramount is not interested in keeping their Togos). But from what I recall of the Paramount Beemers, maybe they should just stay away from stand-up coasters entirely...don't want to repair the Togos, the Beemers are lackluster...IMO.
But as for Thunder Eagle, I've heard the ride was VERY tame...wondering if the lift/drop structure could accommodate another 20-30 feet of lift height? Anyone who's ridden it? Thinking here is that the other CoasterWorks' design has REALLY broken in nicely, and that TE might be able to provide an exceptional ride for the price.....
note: also thinking that the Vekoma Inverts are good rides, esp. compared to the Boomerangs, but that $10M is way..."inflated"... a park generally includes all cost of installation, whereas the manufacturer could give two.... as to how much installing the ride costs...
