Saving Designs??

Okay, this is likely a dumb question, but I'm having trouble saving designs.

I created a log flume, and when I went to the save option, there was no option to save the design. The same thing happened when I tried to save a Junior Coaster.

I decided to try the coaster designer, figuring I could save my junior coaster there after building it. But when I hit the save, there is no option for saving the design.

Am I missing something?

The save design button is now on the stats page in the status window of a coaster. There is also the option to save the coaster with all nearby scenary such as queues to!

What about the log flume? Can you only save coasters? and only in the designer option?

I have never used the designer and I'm pretty sure you can save any design that has a track. Try it. But the option to save the track design is under the stats tab on a coaster when you click on it. You'll see a disk in the bottom right corner of the window.

It doesnt matter if its a coaster or what. As long as it is a savable design just go to stats screen and click on the save button on the bottom right.

Thanks. I managed to save one in the designer, but then it was too big for the scenario I was playing. So I created on in the scenario, and somehow I am missing the save button in the stats screen. Just a dumb ol' broad. Frankly, it seemed easier in the older game. But this is my first day playing. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it eventually.

I actually like it better because of the fact that you can save with queues and paths intact, etc...

Remember that you have to test and get stats before you can save it.

Is there a way to add tunnels and such to track designs in the track designer without having to put it into a scenerio.

I had the same problem for the first couple of days, lol. You have to add scenery in the actual game I think crash, not positive but that's what I do atleast.

Where is the option for saving scenery with your track? I'm having trouble with that. Thanks

Click the save button and notice there are two options. HOLD the button, drag down, and select "save track with scenery".

Do you have a manual?

One thing I noticed when saving tracks is to avoid cetain symbols in the coaster name. For example, I made a ride called Superman: Extreme Flight. I could not save the ride. It looked like it was saving but it really wasnt (possible bug here). The problem was the colon. I changed the colon to a dash as in Superman-Extreme Flight and it saved just fine.

BTW, you can find Superman-Extreme Flight in the games section.

The colon thing was also a problem in the original rct I noticed it trying to save some rides of a game I got off of the net.

Scenery can onl be added and saved from a game. Build yourself a TEST LANDflat,as many rides as you want & 5 million loan availabiltiy ) that's what I do.

The save track design option is located under the stop watch icon now(the little disc icon in the corner after the ride tests)

By the way who said the ride intensity levels were turned down in RCT 2? If anything they are more sensitve .

Actually the workbench I use is all desert with hot and dry weather selected(not much rain that way :)) and no money and scenario objective of build 10 coasters with excitement of 6 or more. You will never lose the scenario and it is a great place to test out the rides.

I think many of the intensity levels are more sensitive to negative-G's aka airtime than they were in the last game and a bit less sensitive with lateral-Gs. Me I love a coaster with little on the laterals but heavy on the negative but that is just me...
