Save The Phantom!

Posted | Contributed by Victor Choltco

This site is dedicated to the legions of thrill-seekers who have ridden Kennywood Park’s Steel Phantom roller coaster. The ten year-old coaster, still one of the tallest and fastest in the world, is scheduled to be torn down at the end of this season to make room for a new attraction at the Pittsburgh area amusement park. The site features Phantom photos and facts, as well as a chance to cast your vote whether the coaster should stay or go -- your chance to "save the Phantom." Results of the voting will be sent to Kennywood prior to the end of the season.

I dont see why they shouldnt tear down the steel phantom, if they have plans to put in something better.

I will miss the Steel Phantom, but...

I'm always up for new things. (Although, I must admit... I'm already dreading the lines for the Phantom's replacement.) I'd like to see Millenium Force's record of longest drop broken. Actually, it'll be Steel Dragon's record in a few weeks, I believe.

WHOO!
I don't think that they should get rid of the Phantom. It was a great ride and my favorite. If they want to get rid of something, they should get rid of an unpopular ride instead of a popular one!
