Universal Orlando's fifth on-property resort has officially opened its doors. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort greeted its first guests on Thursday morning. Sapphire Falls, located between the company's Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay Beach resorts, carries a Caribbean theme. It has 1,000 rooms, bringing the total for Universal hotels to 5,200.

The success and growth of Universal Orlando this decade has been nothing short of phenominal. They have always had a good product, but the last six years have brought them into a new league and it is well deserved. There are many aspects of the Universal guest experience that are now fully on par and even better than Walt Disney World.
