Santa Monica Pier in North Philly

Just saw the new Fat Albert movie. In one scene they go to a "carnival". The carnival is actually Santa Monica Pier park. The movie is o.k. It starts off hard to watch but then grows on you. Mostly a kid's movie even though many kids today have probably never seen Fat Albert. There is touching scene at the end in a cemetery with people who are supposed to be the real life counter parts to the Cosby Kids from the cartoon.
It would have been more amusing to film the "carnival" scene at Cedar Point and watch Fat Albert try to fit in the Millennium Force test seat ;o)

I can't stand Kenan Thompson, not funny. Wasn't funny on the kids show on Nick he was in. Ain't funny on SNL. I would loved to have seen this, but it just looks too silly to me, and I really don't think I could get over havin the Good Burger boy as Fat Albert.

Maybe when I'm out of it one nite and it comes on TV, but doubtful...

I think it looks like more of a childrens movie with Looney Toons falling off cliffs getting hit in the head by a rock humor. The problem is that many of the people that will want to see this are people that watched the cartoon, and they are, for the most part, too old to think stuff like that is funny.

Down is the new up.
I was going to see that but Tuesday but realized Oceans' Twelve was out and took my girlfriend to see that instead. Good decision. Kenan was funny when he was on Nick but I was 7 or 8. I don't find him the least funny on SNL. That wold be cool trying to see AAlbert trying to fit into MF.

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
