Tuesday's Santa Clara city council meeting marks another vital step in what remains a long road to a new NFL stadium in the Silicon Valley. City officials and the 49ers have yet to resolve lingering issues with Cedar Fair Entertainment, the corporate owners of Great America. In a Dec. 3 letter to the council, Cedar Fair's lawyers issued another warning that the project's potential impact on the park's business has not been resolved and called for delaying action on the environmental impact report and ballot measure until January.
