Salt river park michigan?

There used to ba an amusement park in Richmond Michigan called "salt river park".

I remember my mom bringing me there when I was little, however I can't find any info on this park anywhere.

There are still a few remains of the park today, like picnic shelters, maintnance building, and sign. I also think that there is some concrete remains as well. The park is rented out today as picnic grounds, but there is no rides or concessions.

The park used to have several rides like a ferris wheel, merry go round, dark ride, many kiddy rides, a ride like a bayren(sp) curve, and a small coaster. There may have been more rides, but I can't remember.

I think the park closed in the early 80's, but I am not sure. I have searched the web and rcdb, but came up empty handed.

Does anyone remember the park, or have any pictures of it? Any help with this would be great....thank you.:)

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

During the 1970s it was called "King Animaland" Park. It had an assortment of Flat Rides, but no Coaster. It basically a Kiddie Park, one of many that were built in the 1950s to take advantage of the Post World War II "Baby Boom". Sadly many of these parks are now long gone, as the "Boomers" grew Up and new forms of entertainment emerged, most of these parks faded away. Others evolved into Modern Theme Parks including Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan, Darien Lake near Buffalo, New York and my Personal Favorate, :) HOLIDAY WORLD :) in Indiana
