I'll be pretty excited if this happens.
I've been saying for years that they should get a family coaster out there.
Hopefully this will be the start of good things to come for Kokomo's.
I think they have the land, and money to possibly become something similar to Celebration City in Branson, MO which would be awesome!

That's Right! We are getting "The Serpent"! We're actually going to begin tear-down and delivery next week. After a sandblast and paint job, we'll start the process of installation and if all goes well it'll be up and running in the Summer of '08! Keep your fingers crossed!!!

It's nice to see another Fun Center adding a coaster. Of course Paige's Crossing in Columbia City, IN. just added one and promise more attractions in 2008. Hopefully this will be the start of something big for Kokomo's.
Years ago amusement parks grew out of roadside fruit stands, swimming beaches and picnic parks, hopefully many of these fun centers will one day will transform into small amusement parks.

Well as of wensday, The Serpent was still standing at Lesourdsville Lake.
This in no way means it isn't or won't be going as I've seen galaxi's set up at state fairs in a couple of days.

That's right, it is still standing at LeSourdsville. Our owner is going down there Sunday night and the tear down / delivery prep will happen next week. As far as the colors/name. . .I think we're going to keep it "The Serpent" and use the orange/red/green color scheme in the serpent sign. *** Edited 9/28/2007 2:10:19 PM UTC by Kokomo's***

It's a fun coaster, Has some airtime (Not major) but fun. I clearly miss it at LL but will be anxious to ride it again.
Congrats on your purchase!
Is the purchase price non secretive? Id clearly like to have it for the SW Ohio Amusement Park historical society ran by Scott Fowler through www.americanaamuementpark.com
He has records of Lesourdsville from the begining.
