"running of the bull's" @ the point.

Ok, Does RUnning of the Bulls happen every morning or, does it basically happens on the weekends? I mean, I want to particapate but, there again, I don't want to be a fool and be the only one running. I would be fun though. Lots and lots of fun. Has any coasterbuzzers particapate in this? I bet there is alot of people who do this. We'll I just thought of this because I'm going there for the first time. I'm sooo looking forward to all of the park.

Every morning undoubtedly, but I've never found it to be particularly bad, especially if you can avoid entering through the main gate. A lot of people do run, but since CP has so many great coasters, they usually aren't running to all the same ones! Millennium Force is of course the most popular right now, but Raptor and Magnum aren't all that far behind, actually. Have fun!

Me, instead of running like a bull towards Millennium Force I just walked right to Raptor and got to ride it a least 5 or 6 times. Raptor is one of my favorite all time inverted coasters.

Yes, please do run. I hope you fall, sue the park for unsafe practices, and we finally see a change to this very unsafe policy.

It boggles the mind that a park so hell-bent on safety lets a mini riot occur every morning and basically laughs it off...
I "did" the running of the bulls last year, actually it was more of a fast paced walk, got to MF and only had to wait 45 min. If I were you, jump right on Raptor like Viper said.(Raptor is the most awesome coaster in the world!) Or another good piece of advice is go to the back of the park and jump on magnum for a very short wait, and ride MF at lunch-time.

Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.
Rob, please. You're making it sound like CP freakin' encourages this! Exactly how are you supposed to stop people from running? A chain? Oh, okay, lets walk everyone back to MF, that will take approximately 10-15 minutes! And that's gonna have to be one helluva chain to cover the whole midway.

I guess if you can't take it, just go to the side and wait for all the big kids to run, then you can walk. I know you'll never go back to CP, but just in case you do, that's my advice.

Besides, it KILLS me that you've got such a hard on over this CP-hate thing. A little park about an hour-and-a-half East of CP put in a very popular ride this year. If you thought running to MF was unsafe....LMFAO! You should see the people run to X-Flight! It was one of the funniest sights to see, I must say. I counted at least four people hit the pavement, cracked me up. :) Security just got out of the way, I mean, what do you expect them to do? People are just savages when it comes to being first in line for a new ride, I wouldn't expect the security guard to do anything more than "If you run you'll be kicked out!"

In closing, your little rant against CP for basically *every* thread (here or RRC or whatever) is really getting tiresome. You know I like you and all, but honestly, give it up! You can be pissed off all you want about CP, but when you say the SAME things in EVERY message, I just really lose respect for you. I think everyone here knows exactly how you feel about CP and your injuries, etc. Talk about Legend and how great it is...or something. :)

Earlier this year on a sunday morning, I participated in the "running of the bulls" and actually everyone was getting yelled at to walk. It was really wierd to hear that. Do they only do that on Sunday mornings or did something happen at that time?

After trying to do the "Running of the bulls," I found it much easier to just ride Raptor right away and ride MF three times in a row on my Exclusive Ride Time when they have it. :) I can't tell you how good it feels to be the only person leisurely strolling to Magnum's empty queue lines while seeing people from Challenge Park running towards MF.

Well, they did give it a cutesy nickname, no? ;)

OK, I won't *start* any more threads about Cedar Point, sound good? But replies? Well, thats another story...! :)

Mmm...Legend, now there's an idea! *** This post was edited by RobCoasting on 8/1/2001. ***
Actually Rob CP does not have anything to do with calling it Running of the Bulls. Many of the employees just strted refering to the rush as that.

I have done it, it is really fun, and if you were the only one running it would be even better, cause you would be the first one on it. It happens everyday. Everybody runs to MF, that is it. Find shortcuts (it is more fun), like over bushes and stuff.

Koaster King...there is pretty much a "running of the bulls" at any theme park, I have experienced it at my home park of Six Flags GAdv for Nitro, and 2 years before for Medusa. and even in places like MGM Studios @ Disney for Rock 'n Roller Coaster. It is a traditional thing to do at the parks...to find out who will be the first one on.

I got there about 10:05 on a Monday morning in early June, walked past the Raptor cause that line was getting big, then I was on The Mantis in about 10 minutes. My next line was the MF which was 45.
In the evening I took multiple rides on Magnum, Mean Streak and Gemini. I managed to ride everything at least once. Here is the best picture I tood of the trip.

went there last MOnday and wednesday. I went straight to millenium force and waited for only 45 to an hour. Heard people waited a lot longer later on in the day. go on it right away if you can. its awsome ... have fun
I ran right past Mil. Force and walked around by myself at the back of the park. Walked on Gemini, Mean Streak, and 15 min. wait for Magnum.
