Nintendo-Land might not be out of the question as a new rumor suggests that Universal is developing a third park for their Universal Studios Orlando Resort which would have a heavy video game focus, including rides based on Nintendo and Blizzard properties.

A Mario Kart themed go-kart ride would be awesome. If we could throw turtle shells and banana peels, that would be even more sweet.

I like Toon Lagoon, but I'm old and totally get it.
Maybe what did it for me was the day that I stopped to snap a pic of Popeye and Olive Oyl and she couldn't take her eyes off me. "Ow, and so HANDsome, too!", she said. I blushed and left. I looked back over my shoulder and she was winking at me. (She did have quite a figgah...)
As much as I loved IOA and USO, I cannot remember the Toon section. I mean, I remember the water rides back there, but I can't for the life of me remember a toon section other than those two rides. I guess that's why a re-theme would be quite an improvement! *laugh*

Not buying it. If they wouldn't invest in a third gate for Harry Potter, which is a safe bet full of enough IP to last forever, they're not going to do it with video games.
I guess the difference would be that would be one IP, rather than lots of IPs? Like Disney wouldn't build a park based on one of their IPs, but will bung a load of them in one?
Nothing to see here. Move along.
^^What bunky666 said. Part of Toon Lagoon isn't very memorable. Maybe because Alley Oop and Gasoline Alley are, well, meaningless to a large swath of guests? Maybe pales in comparison to dinosaurs and Cats in Hats and a boy wizard?

Everyone seems to be enthralled by the river rapids ride at IOA but it isn't memorable at all to me. It's nothing special imo. The log flume they got though is absolutely amazing obviously, but seems like it could be a tough retheme given its enormous size.
I'd be very interested in a Nintendo themed land, I feel like it should have happened somewhere a long time ago. Might be better placed in the Seuss area, which, as I recall, totally sucks as it is right now.
