Paramount's Kings Island held their media day Wednesday April 4. The staff of Coasterguide and Guidetotheisland had the chance to ride PKI's newest coaster, Rugrat's Runaway Reptar, four times. We love the coaster. It offers a great view of Nickelodeon Central. It is a real smooth ride, just like a Baby Vekoma should be! The new Reptar gallery is now online with photos, stats, and aerial shots of the finished ride, and as always, we also have a complete construction gallery.
The SLC's have an intense layout, but those stupid pads box your ears, especially in the corkscrews. If they remove the pads they might have something, or at least removed the grooves in the pads which irritate my ears. Also the seat doesn't keep you in as tightly as a B&M seat either.
That little ride looks cool! In my opinion, SFMM should have put that insted of Goliath Jr. and name it different. That would have been really kool.

Riddelers Revenger is the best coaster in So Cal:)
RRR is the best kids coaster I've ever ridden. Much better than it's twinkie, Woodstock's Express, even though it's my 2nd or 3rd fave kiddie. My feet were scared to death though! Beware Bigfoot, Long Legs, and Nessie!

You are the Weakest Link! Goodbye!!!
To put a final answer on the Reptar/Silver Streak Issue:
I live a few min. away from PCW and after looking at the photos from Reptar, I can say that both rides have the same track design, same trains and same manufacturer (Vekoma). On top of that, I know and heard that PCW says that they have the only Junior Inverted coaster but don't want to reveal that PKI has one as well (probably to sell the ride).

Home Park: PCW
Favorite Ride and Current Job:
Xtreme Skyflyer, home to Pepe, the Squished Skunk
I foresee these kiddie inverts popping up at other parks in the near future. Great concept.

Reptar rocks!!. PKI has made a smart move adding another kiddie coaster. The little kids love it because it is pretty high for a kid 44in tall. The log flume has some wonderfull themeing, and PKI really did a great job with a ride that was so old.
