Walt got all of the attention and credit but Roy's father (Roy) had a lot to do with the early success of the Disney company. And, Roy E had a lot to do with the success of the modern company by orchestrating the hiring of Michael Eisner and Frank Wells and keeping hand drawn animation alive in the 80s and early 90s along with Jeffrey Katzenberg.
It is very sad to see him go. As my dad said, "Roy was the TRUE Sorcerer's Apprentice." I hope that he is in a better place and no longer suffering the pains of such a terrible disease.
