Roy E. Disney and Stanley P. Gold filed a lawsuit yesterday asking the court to:

  • Void 2005 election of directors
  • Compel company to hold another election for directors after full disclosure about CEO selection process
  • Enjoin company and board from changing Eisner's or Iger's compensation or contracts

These guys are really desperate now to be relevant. Honestly, don't you think that if there was anything improper going on that the SEC would be all over it?

Give it up boys... the company is profitable, Eisner is finally out, let the company do its work.

Even the rabid Disney fan boards have stopped following these guys, for the most part.
Yea Michael is out, but its enough of a change if his right hand man becomes his successor. I would expect this is just leading up to major action they will take at the anual board meeting next year.

I'm still skeptical about anything these two clown or the fan boys have to say.
Apparently Iger is looking to talk to Pixar just as soon as he gets into the CEO position. Just a few weeks ago, George Lucas said he'll be working with Disney on a new "Star Tours."

I'm ready to give Iger a chance, particularly with these two things in mind.

Management has changed dramatically at Disneyland for the better. Everything has been refurbished and cleaned up for the 50th, along with a busy new slate of rides in the next couple years.

Times have changed at Disney, and I think Iger may well be on the right track.

Seems like Roy is doing more harm than good to the company at this point.

Crybabies.....
From what I've seen and heard, Iger seems intent on doing things his own way so I can't say I'm completely against him running the show. While I have supported Roy and Stanley in the past, I get the impression this is just a ploy to save their dying campaign. I'm not saying they should give up but maybe Iger deserves a chance before another war starts.
