ROTM Accident

http://www.local6.com/news/3752688/detail.html

Dont' know if this has already been posted or not, but apparently a guest fell into the track area from the station today at Revenge of the Mummy at USF. Later reports on TV are that the guest has died from the injuries. Reports from people at the parks today said that the ride reopened later with the front row closed.

My prayers go out to the family.

"On the moon nerds get their pants pulled down and spanked with moonrocks."

Did she hit her head on the track as she fell?

Speculation...but shouldn't there be a way for operaters to e-stop the gates when something like this happens? Perhaps she merely tripped over her own feet and fell...who knows...all I'm saying is (remembering from the SF Superman death)...don't go blaming and stuff until we know what actually happened!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

By the sound of the report, he just mis-steped or "tripped over her own feet." Seems odd though that falling four feet , even if it was onto coaster tracks, would produce fatal injuries. I'm guessing he either hit her head REALLY hard or had some pre-existing medical condition. Otherwise it would seem that he should have only sustained some bruises, broken bones at most. *** Edited 9/23/2004 5:12:31 AM UTC by Coaster Lover***

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Damn, has this been the worst year for accidents ever? Three fatalities just this week. Scary sh*t.

Mike Miller

OMG, I'm a CreHo.

I think I caught the scroll this morning and it said this person was on the liver transplant list. Doubly tragic.
yeah, we talked about this today in my theme park class, he hit his head and said he could move his leg. He had a preexisting Hepatitis C condition which made surgury (I believe on his liver?) more difficult.

Apparently, the wife has no plans of suing.

thoughts and prayers...
