I wondered about the first tubular steel moniker that was announced at oT. I always thought Matterhorn was older.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

RIP Ron, As I was riding Magnum over the weekend and it seemed just a little bumpier than I remembered I thought of it as personality instead of bumpy. Still one of my favorites. I too have the arrow tolerance or at least learned the arrow tolerance. Lot of rides, some with transitions that should not have been attempted, but some good ones too.

RIP Ron Toomer. I'll be the first in this thread (and possibly the last) to praise one of my favorite of his creations, Drachen Fire. :)

Drachen Fire made me giggle like a school girl. That ride was great. Gave me a headache after a few times, but I didn't care at the time.

We were there for our spring trip in high school the year Alpengeist opened. I remember wanting to ride both of those rides so bad, and I was so excited when I saw BBW and Loch Ness for the first time.
