Rolling Thunder - Clutter in the Middle

This may have been asked a gazillion times, but the Search function on coasterbuzz hasn't been working for a while ...
What is the clutter in the middle area of Rolling Thunder at SFGA? It has been really distracting me trying to figure it out! Looks like footers in circular patterns or something, as though SFGA were intending to expand Rolling Thunder's course somehow *shrug*
One can dream.

Can anyone help me put this question to rest??

OMGZ IT'S A NEW RIDE FOR 2007!!!

Truthfully, its the ending twister section footers for El Toro... Now it should be easy to tell, since the coaster is complete and testing?

El Toro's finale.
R-tycoon, I'm just wondering what it is. I'm not sweating some new ride, or extension of El Toro, or whatever. I'm just wondering what the heck it is. If you want to make fun, you'll have to find something else. I'm not in a tizzy like you are ;-)
If anyone who is semi-grounded can help me to understand what SFGA is doing within the Rolling Thunder footprint, please let me know.
Thanks,
- J
I think they just told you.

Also, how would you even see the footers without noticing the massive wooden coaster being built next door? From what I can tell you can't even see the stuff going on in Rolling Thunder's infield unless you're looking at pics on SF's website, or have been on the construction site, or ridden Rolling Thunder which I heard was going to open soon, but I hadn't heard when.

Not being snarky here, just curious.

Apparently, you've never watched the El Toro video or looked at the latest pictures of El Toro. Honestly, Eringobraugh, no one was yanking your chain. If you go to the Great Adventure website, you'll see a) a picture of the El Toro track crossing over the first drop of Rolling Thunder and b) a picture of the infield section with the ending brakeshed for Rolling Thunder in the background

^^^Not that there's anything wrong with not being 100% familiar with El Toro's layout which is why I'm posting again just to clarify. My point was I just don't understand how you can see what's going on in Rolling Thunder's infield if you weren't on SF's construction website.
I would imagine you could get a pretty good view from the lift of Great American Scream Machine, or if you were able to turn your head around on the Parachute Drop. But I definitely understand your point.
Heres some pics that show the whole thing.

Finally, some good pics of the finale! This coaster looks like it is going to have one of the most insane finishes ever. *** Edited 5/31/2006 7:49:15 PM UTC by matt.***

Looks like it will improve the Rolling Thunder experience too!

I was there yesterday. It looks amazing!! SO GOOD!!!! The area is done up nice. Not super good like the Golden Kingdom but it looks a lot nicer than it did. The painted on the Station house it looks really cool.

Thanks,

You mean El Toro has somehow helped with that, you know, violent jackhammering shuffle of death thing? ;)

I can't wait to ride it! The hills on the out portion all look incredibly steep.

This weekend folks!
