I saw the video a while ago, and I think there was a shot of the people standing at the entrance of the coaster and I think it said The Great American Scream Machine on the "You Must Be This Tall To Ride..." sign. I think I also saw the logo on the front of the train.
So... I KNOW it was shot at Six Flags Over Georgia, and I think the coaster was The Great American Scream Machine.
If you see me running, try and keep up!
BTW, look for the Hendrix video Fire. It has people getting married on the Texas Cyclone.
If the video was made at the time the song came out, than the coaster is probably the CI Cyclone, because that was the only Cyclone around at the time. If the video was made later (more likely), than it could be any number of the CY-clones, maybe even the Texas Cyclone, since that opened in 1976.

When was the video for Paint it Black made? If I'm not mistaken, that is a very old song, like from '64 or '65, when music videos were just beginning to be made and were not really very popular at all. I wonder if the Stones went back and made a video for the song at a later date. Probably, because it sounds like this video has a concept, and that didn't enter music videos until the 70's. Early videos were just of the band standing around playing their songs.
No... that footage of the GASM "paint it black" video is from WILD RIDES, the early 80's Nikelodeon show. The song "paint it black" is from 1966. The only 'video' of it is of the Stones performing it live on the Ed Sullivan show in 1966. (I think the first real studio 'video' from the Stones was "Angie" in 1973, any Stones fans?)

I know there is a Stones video that involves some sort of crazed carnival or freak show. I want to say that it's for "Sympathy for the Devil," but I think that isn't right. At any rate, I'm pretty sure that video predates "David." Oops, I meant "Angie."

That's from the Rolling Stone's Rock N Roll Circus, 1968. Any TV show or (anybody) can take any live footage and make a 'video' outta it. But nowadays, no-one sings, it's all lip-sync. I'm pretty sure "Angie" (1973) was the first 'meant to be' video from the Stones
