RollerCoasterTycoon 2 - Release Date-Software Ect.

I was at the nearby Software Ect. store in Piqua, Ohio yesterday (8-8-02) and they had their normal display of RCT games up and there was a sign that was displaying "RollerCoaster Tycoon 2- In THIS store October 9, 2002". So I asked the guy at the counter to confirm and he said and showed me a Store Memo that said that all Electronic Botique and Software Ect. Stores are putting the game on their shelfs on the 9th. Now my question is... wasn't the game supposed to be released on the 15th or is this possibly a release date change?

I think this is when the game will ship for pre-orders. They guy at the store showed me an Employee/Store Memo that said the 9th. I just brought this up because www.rollercoastertycoon.com says the 15th. Anyone else to offer suggestions:??
