"Last night, David Letterman did a green screen layover with a women and the backround was Kumba at BGT. Did anyone else see this"
Actually it was Conan O'Brien, and yes I did see it. I wasnt sure that was Kumba. I thought so, but having never seen Kumba in person, I wasn't sure. I guess I was right :)

California Man - Shows some footage of SFMM, plus onride footage of the Viper.
Getting even with Dad(was this the title of the film??Its the one with McCauly Caulkin) Anyway in one scene, there is footage of him and his dad riding a Roller Coaster, however I havent got clue what coaster it is
RollerCoaster - Great footage of a Woodie at the start of the movie, Then shows good footage of PKD plus onride footage on the Rebel Yell. then shows footage of Revolution at SFMM with amazing onride footage on the coaster
House on Haunted Hill - I know we have mentioned Hulk in this movie, but did you know that for a few seconds in one scene, Its possible to see the Duelling Dragons Lift Hills in the background with the trains going up
One of the James Bond Films - I cant remember what one it was(I wish I did) but in One of the films, there is footage of a coaster and it looks like a Wild Mouse style Coaster, Will try and find out what movie it is so you can check it out

"Rollercoaster is a cool movie. It's about a mad bomber who extorts money from parks. It was filmed at several different parks, King's Dominion, Ocean View Park (defunct) both in Virginia and Magic Mountain. The main coasters featured are The Rebel Yell at KD, Great American Revolution at MM and the Rocket at OV. At the time Revolution was the newest and best coaster like Millennium Force today.
To promote the movie King's Dominion held a coaster marathon on Rebel Yell. That was the beginning of ACE. I guess it's a good thing the movie was made.
Thanks coasterpunk I always wondered what the movie was about Im going to get it just to watch it.

Army rangers lead the way
What I love about the movie 'Rollercoaster' is that they dont use fake names for the park, like 'Wally World'. It is great to hear the names of all these parks. Makes the move seem more real.
I have only seen the part with Magic Mountain. I think it is time to see the entire movie now.

In the backround in The Whole Nine Yards you can see an inverted coaster and a woodie.
Doesn't the Karate Kid have a park and coaster in it.
The Lost Boys has one in it. I beleve the Giant Dipper in San Diego.
-------------
2000 stats: 135 coasters in 26 parks
Not Too Shabby For A Summer
No - it was the one in Santa Cruz, CA, not San Diego (for Lost Boys)
Yeah, I saw the one in the whole nine yards, but I cant figure out what it is, I think its orange with white supports and B&M
The park in the background in The Whole Nine Yards is La Ronde, in Montréal, Canada - or at least that's what I've heard. The park doesn't have an inverted or anything B&M, but they do have an Intamin Standup, which could possibly resemble a B&M.
The opening credits to the Naked Gun. does anyone know which one that is? i thought it was the coney cyclone for the longest time and now i have no clue...

"Dont forget the Corkscrew at Knotts Berry farm in the film "Summer School""

This was filmed at Elitch Gardens before it was sold to Premier. The steel coaster is the arrow shuttle, Sidewinder, and the woodie is Twister 2.
There was a made for TV movie about six years ago
about a guy that owned an amusement park and was afraid of heights. It ended with a bomb on a train and the guys daughter on the train and a bomb. The plot was very stupid. The park was MM I think.
In the movie Blank Check, the park is Fiesta Texas way back when it wasnt a Six Flags park!
Steel Phantom 1991-2000, you're correct-a very foolish movie. I believe it was the Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Boardwalk in the action packed movie "Thrill." I think that was also the movie name for the coaster, however, I may be mistaken. I think I was reading a book at the same time. Also, since I'm a big Dean Koontz fan, I believe "HIDEAWAY" (novel made into a movie) had a coaster in it, I don't recall which ride though.
Little Big League has either valleyfair or cedar point
