Named for 500cc World Champion, World Record Holder and Gold Coast local Mick Doohan, the roller coaster will be Intamin's first foray into the motorbike coaster world, following other European manufacturers such as Vekoma and Zamperla.

Dreamworld's Motocoaster will feature a 45mph launch along a 1985ft course featuring many helices and abrupt turns. Designed for family enjoyment, the coaster will have a top height of only 23ft.

Each rider is strapped into a life-sized replica 500cc motorcycle and those not meeting the regular height limit will be able to ride in one of two sidecar seats in the middle of the two trains.

The Mick Doohan Motocoaster opens at Dreamworld this September. Roller-Coaster.com.au is home to the latest construction photographs showing the ride's completed layout.

I like the Sidecar idea that is cool.
I agree. The sidecar idea sounds awesome. Are there pics anywhere of what these trains look like?
