The first patch should be out next week, with more to follow I'm assuming.
Why not jump on board and enjoy what does work?
As much as I've whined and moaned, I'm still playing the game - a lot!
I agree with Gonch that despite all the bugs the game is still playable and I've been playing alot. For now, I guess we have to play with the mindset "If that doesn't work, then don't do that" till these patches come out.
Based on how RCT3 has already been generously catered to many "wish lists" and feeback, I doubt that RCT3 loses the attention from Atari/Frontier to make this game top notch. I'm looking forward to the updates which I guess will be released soon.
I did read a comment on the official forums that peep thought summaries are confirmed in this first patch fix. That's a largely requested fix
RCT3 shipped with serious flaws. I think the product Atari released is a joke. Some of those bugs are just ridiculous. Another qualm I have with the game that probably won't be fixed with patches is lack of freedom in designing Rocket Coasters and Thrust Airs. Making big ovals with hills really isn't fun.

...but I just cannot justify paying full price, or even 34 bucks for the game that's really so bug-juiced up, that deterrs it from being completely fun.
...the fun is still there, but they should have just stuck with the winning formula of RCT2, and just made the conversion to 3D with a few new rides, coaster, themes, & senarios.
...by messing w/ the formula, you've deterred a lot of people, made a game buggy as hell, got others thinking it's Sim Coaster all over again, and confused the hell outta other gamers!
...I'll still wind up purchasing it, but only when CompUSA, Best Buy, or Circuit offer it with a decent discount.
I guess Half Life 2 will indeed be THE game of the PC holiday 2004 season afterall!!! :)
