Roller Coaster Quiz on MSN

I thought it was pretty tough, I doubt much of the general public will do well on it.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

I scored 8/10. Only ones I missed were the one about the ferris wheel and the world's largest cousel.

I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

I got all 10! This is a great Fourth of July after all!
10 out of 10 here. I am still extremely displeased that Himmelskibet is considered the tallest carousel in the world. Calling that ride a carousel seems to be to be inaccurate by many accounts. A more accurate title would be a wave swinger. We all the really largest and grandest carousels in the world reside at Great America in Gurnee IL and Santa Clara CA. And that is why this will be a great Fourth of July after all!
A circle swing. A chair plane. A high flying round ride. But definitely not a carousel.

7/10 here...

10/10, but the Star Flyer is no where near a carousel.
I got 7 out of 10. #1 and the 2 about carousels got me.

Thanks,

8/10. Missed the exact same ones as Hopman did.

Certain victory.

10/10, and I agree - Himmelskibet is not a carousel.

Okay. See if you can figure out the answer to this question: Where is the ONLY plance left in the world where you can buy a NEW WOOD carousel?

Extra credit if you can name the company. I'll give ONE hint: It's east of Chicago but west of Philly.

I got 9/10. Missed the carousel question also.
WOOT! 7/10. Missed the one about the carousel and the Russians first building a roller coaster. Who would have thunk it? I don't remember the other one I got wrong. Oh well.
Got 9/10. Couldn't remember the given names of that Ferris guy. (And it certainly wasn't Ferris Bueller!)

I got 10/10 as well. Not fair though since I guessed the largest ferris wheel question.
How the hell is star flyer considered a carousel? I knew the answer they were alluding too but come on.

Oh yeah, 10/10 here

Europeans, especially Germans, refer to any ride that utilizes a centerpole and has a circular motion a "carousel".
