Roller Coaster Inspired Bed

Photos

"La Montana Rusa" bed was designed by Los Carpinteros, a trio of Cuban designers described as "artisans and skilled laborers interested in the intersection between art and society...merges architecture, design, and sculpture in unexpected and often humorous ways. They create installations and drawings which negotiate the space between the functional and the nonfunctional. The group's elegant and mordantly humorous sculptures, drawings, and installations draw their inspiration from the physical world — particularly that of furniture. Their carefully crafted works use humor to exploit a visual syntax that sets up contradictions among object and function as well as practicality and uselessness."

Why is it that only the sexual possibilities come to mind?

Looks like it sleeps about 8.
Which is exactly why the aforementioned possibilities come to mind! ;)
Now if I only had seven girlfriends... ;)

Looks like something I'd pick up at IKEA.

What, no inversions?

The freaking thing measures over 26' long by 14' wide by 8' tall. It's the world's first hyper-bed!

This is onlu the first version. The next one will have a cobra roll & an Innelmen.

I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

I'd hate to be the one who has to sleep on the lifthill. Talk about awkward.
Ever done an overnight flight before?

At least the bed would offer some leg room! ;)

I can't believe how many trees they ripped up to put that in!

Haha...got that right, Andy! I'm worried about what it will do to the atmosphere of the bedroom. ;)

No trees. Must be a Cedar Fair bed.

Hi

It sure gives new meaning to the term, "over the shoulder harness".

"And my bedroom is very thrilling... would you like to see it?"
I want that bed... if only for a night. That's awesome. I... err... I'll stop, my mind's in the gutter.
