Roller Coaster Adventures Videos

I was just surfing the web and came upon the series of 6 roller coaster adventure videos. They look really good, they cover basically every amazing ride out there. All the great coasters i can think of, their newest video even has top thrill dragster. I have never heard of these videos though, so I am curious about how good they really are.

I got all 6 videos from my wife for christmas. They are very good. They show the rides from a lot of different angles (including an on-ride view from most of the coasters). They give the statistics of the coasters also. There is a short clip about the park the coasters are in before each series of rides. All 6 of the videos are good, there would not be a way to pick one that is better than the other. I would definately recommend buying these videos. They are great coaster videos.

Are the onride videos complete, or is it just of certain segments of the ride and stuff?

The Techno on the video gets kind of annoying, and there are really only two songs that I like on the whole set. Otherwise, its pretty good, but if you REALLY want it just for POVs then I wouldn't recommend buying all of them. They only have POV shots of a few of the coasters, and I'd say get the new Front Seat Thrills would be a better buy.

Don't expect these to be great, because they have sort of an "underground" feel. Their footage of Expedition G-Force and Maine's Excaliber is great, as well as many other coasters. Sometimes though, they'll only cover the ride partly, or just Mention it. This can leave a bad taste. they also do a VERY long segment on SFGAm in video 3. Again, don't expect these to be great.

Does anyone know if theres a site that lists all the povs and onride options? Or does anyone mind sharing which coasters on the dvd they have have onride videos? On their site, it says "take a ride" or "get a front seat ride" on basically every coaster that is mentioned, yet some said that theres not a whole lot of on-ride stuff. Just curious as to how much there truely is.

I agree with thepinkdoomofmonkeys for the most part. Some of the footage isn't the best quality, especially the POV of Dodonpa. However, I still enjoy watching it just because it is roller coasters.

Ya, im getting that first. But I think I'll also get episode 5 with top thrill, SOB, and all, cause that looks good. Im getting the four "footage" dvds from Robb Alvey, and plan on getting the four "season" dvds eventually, so I really don't have the money to get anymore.

Dude, I was planning picking up #6 at the ACE convention in PA next week. Once you watch it, could you tell me how it was and what you liked and didnt like?

I'm not a Dude, but I will be happy to let you know how they are. I plan to watch them as soon as they come in the mail. SO maybe I will have them before you buy it.
