Richard Rodriguez, 42, has smashed the latest record set by two Japanese who stayed on a roller coaster for 35-1/2 hours but has shown no sign of giving up yet, the German amusement park said Monday.

Man, I wish I could ride Expedition GeForce as much as he does. That would be awesome! Keep it up bud!

A special toilet in the wagon! I don't even want to know how that feels going to the bathroom while going through a corkscrew.

Expedition GE Force doesnt have any corkscrews. I dont understand that part of the article. Are they suggesting he goes to a different coasters during some parts of the day?

I like roller coasters.

I'm confused. All the pictures I've seen including the one in this article, show him sitting in the Super Wirbel, the park's Vekoma Corkscrew. So which coaster is he marathoning on?
The article states that he rides EGF during the day and the Vekoma at night, in an effort to sleep.

Sleep on the Vekoma, ride awake on the Intamin hyper. Yeah, that was well thought out. :)

Jeff,

Sleep - be knocked unconscious - either way, he's out cold!!!

I think the 35-1/2 hours figure was a mistake...35 and a half "daze" right?

Anyway, must be interesting cocktail party conversation.

I am thinking it woudl be much easier to sleep on a corkscrew then being thrown into the air constantly on EGF.

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.

Well, well, well. He has been burning his face from the sun, but he is still awake.
Rodriguez sleeps at night on the Vekoma corkscrew coaster "Super Wirbel" (German for Super Twister) by having some stuff around his head that prevents him from getting knocked out. Actually he did the same coaster 21 years ago for a marathon.
In the daytime he is riding Expedition GeForce.
One of our team members visited him on Sunday. If you want to see some pictures, here is the link.
(I hope, Jeff, you don't mind posting this link, do you?)

Super Girbel! lol. But in all seriousness, I thought he was riding the Boss or some other woodie this year? he must really like EGF because last year he was marathoning(sp?) it when me and the ACE ECO was at Holiday park.
