rocketrods...

Does anybody know what Disneyland plans to do with the people mover/rocket rods track? We can only hope they don't just leave it empty like the submarine ride site.

There's not much you can do with that I suppose, other than turn it back into a people mover.

I'm glad I had a chance to ride them, even though it was kinda lame.

I'm just sorry the rumor a few years ago to turn the 20k site into a second generation Alien Encounter-like experience never came to be..... While I'm at it, I'm sorry the new Pooh ride, won't be like the one in Tokyo (most technologically amazing dark ride ever!) I'm also sorry that Tower of Terror at DCA won't have most of the show elements the one in FL does. :(

Nothings going to happen to it till at least 2005. The thing is so bad structurally. Thats one of the reasons why RR only held 5 riders. While I'd LOVE to see the old peoplemover return, they have bigger fish to fry 1st, like the Space Mountain replacement and the return of circlevision. Star Tours has been showing its age the last few years, pods are always down and the projectors are beginning to destort. Theres also the Lagoon ride, that was supposed to be Atlantis before the movie bombed in the box office. I think it's low on thier list of priorities until they replace the track on Space Mtn this winter, bring circlevisionback next year and do something with the lagoon in 2006. Innoventions is a joke as well, investors are pulling out left and right. Then theres the issue of the monorail fleet. Its falling apart, and bombidear (sp?) wont come up with replacements. Monorails have routine breakdowns all day long now, usually dropping parts like brake shoes and sensors.

Basicly the ONLY rides in Tomorrowland on solid ground are Autopia and Astro Orbiter. The rest are in need of ALOT of work. Tomorrowland in its current state is a freakin joke.

What do the DisneyPhiles think of all of that. It sure sounds bad.

SCREAM with me... in 2003!

Anyone else think hiring S&S to redo the rocket rods as a TA2K wouldn't be a bad idea?
