What makes a rocket coaster different then a regular coaster. I sit the twisting top hat. Or does the top hat have to have the train on top of it?

Just speculating here, but I think it's just Intamin's name for this type of launching coaster. If I'm not mistaken this is a new launching technology for Intamin, I'm guessing that the elements of the coaster are not important to the name. An impulse is an impulse regardless of what happens on the spikes (LG vs. S:UE, V2 vs. WT or at what angle the spikes are set (V2 @ SFMW). But like I said, I'm just throwing out a guess.
Instead of starting a new topic, I'll just ask here. How does Xcelerator's launch work (please don't say "it's hydraulic" :))?
